[TrunkCom] getting access to EDACS radio to monitor ProVoicesystems?

I know that no scanner can do ProVoice and it is a pain! The $800 price tag
is about what people had to pay to get Moto radios before the new scanners
came a long.

The county where I was born, Johnston County (SE of Raleigh, NC and Wake
County where I now reside) uses Pro-Voice and the only people I am aware of
who can monitor it are those who have purchased a radio specific to this
system (usually $800+, and useless for other monitoring) AND who have been
able to get the radio properly programmed. No "common" OTC scanner can
monitor Pro-Voice, or at least I have never heard of it, and they've been
using Pro-Voice for about 6 or 7 years and I've been using scanners for 30+
years.

Using powerlines to distribute high-speed Internet makes as much sense as
using cable TV coax to distribute high voltage electrical power.

Hi Jeff,

Looking at those systems I do not see a link to the ProVoice systems with
live audio. Let me know if you have a live link, I would like to listen to
them.

If you look at the left hand column there should be a live audio link if one
is available for that system. This doesn't rule out someone using it on
Shoutcast or some other feed provider.
