With those two programs I mentioned, BCTool and FreeScan, it's as
perfect as it's gonna get.  The radio control feature of BCTool lets
you see what sighted folks see on the display every step of the way.
FreeScan is great for grabbing stuff from Radio Reference and
transferring it to the scanner, or downloading the contents of the
scanner into a single object for editing.  Don't waste your time or
money on any of the pay programs, none of them work with speech worht
a darn.  Some come close, but lack a key feature which would make them
ideal as a one-stop piece of software, but the aforementioned free
programs together get the job done with all the accessibility you
could want.
