Hey Dude,

Merry Christmas. Yes, I guess they find it cheaper to buy radios from the state and pay whatever airtime then to have to build their own system. I and other PS people wish they would do that here in Connecticut. For such a rich well to do state, we seem to be so far behind the times, that even the deep south is more advanced than we are.

Hope your christmas was well. Mine was awsome. Got everything I needed.

I see yours or trunkcom's avg has finally crapped out. Good luck with poky 9.0. Best to spend the money for Vipre from Sunbelt on Newegg. You can put that on any pc you want and the pc runs faster too.

Merry Christmas all and Happy and Safe and Healthy New Year!!!!
shawn

PS. You guys still diggin out out there?

Hi folks, and happy holidays. I just thought I'd post and ask a question at the same time here. I read on radioreference.com's mobile page that Grand Traverse County, and Traverse City, Michigan will soon be moving to the state's MPSCS. According to radioreference it was to be the end of 2009, and presently there is only a couple of TGs on that MPSCS that are for the county and I haven't noticed any new ones being added, though that could come.
When I first joined trunkcom here in 1998 and was on and off there were just VHF/UHF for public safety and county services, and not much in the way of trunking, except for a few SMR users, and I think one was sold to Nextel. The MPSCS hadn't yet come on, and back then here were no plans to do anything with trunking, and here we are 10 years later and guess what here it all is. I'm just wondering though if anyone has more information on the move, and whether or not it will be encrypted, and if everyone is moving there?
