[TrunkCom] LTR standard systems sounding like passport systems?

Hi everyone, I have been trying to monitor an LTR system, and if possible
track it and I am just curious if some LTR  standard systems can have the
long data b bursts like a passport system would have on it?
	Also, I've read up on a few ways to monitor an LTR multi-net
system without the  software, and I'm just  curious on the data channel
 carrying voice coms.  I've noticed that the  transmission is not only on the
data channel but one of the other freqs on a multi-net system.  How then
can the data channel still function with a conversation going on on it?
