[TrunkCom] Getting new digital scanner

I have the Uniden 396 and love it.  I really like the way Uniden handles 
memory. You get  free software and computer cable included.  If you want a 
mobile I would suggest you wait for the Uniden 996 which is due out this 
Spring.  From what I have read it should be awesome.

I am planning on buying a digital scanner so I can listen to our local 
police and sheriff here in Birmingham,Alabama..
   I was wondering what most you folks would recommend?? I can spend a lot 
but would like a idea.. I have a Radio shack pro2051 now but since cant get 
the county sheriff or Birmingham police not into it like I use to.
