[TrunkCom] NilJon Super M Mobile Antenna

Hello Group ,  I purchased a niljon super m mobile antenna with the supplied mag mount from Grove Enterprises in Oct 2005. Received the always great service from Grove. The niljon super m is the new antenna that has 3 elements pointing at about 35-40 degrees in three equal directions. The antenna is an s unit or two above anything that I have ever homebrewed or purchased. It really works great. I mainly use it for vhf and the 225-400mhz military bands. The problem that I have found with the antenna is with the magnetic mount. It is about the size of a silver dollar , maybe a bit larger. I have it mounted on the top of my 4x4 Ford Excursion which has it a couple of feet higher than most cars. At times when im on a two lane highway and an 18 wheeler pulling a cargo van passes by me heading in the opposite direction the wind wake from the truck knocks the antenna over. The other problem is severe rusting of the mag mounts shrome base cover. I live in E. Texas and there is no salty roads in the winter time and the Gulf is about 300 miles to the South. I have emailed the Niljon Co. three times and so far they have not returned any emails. Im probably going to have to purchase a new larger mag mount. Has anybody else ever had this problem with this antenna ?  Thanks , de Randy N5WV
