[TrunkCom] glitch with monitoring EDACS systems from a distance

Hi everyone, I have noticed that when I have monitored EDACS systems from
a distance, even with the control channel coming in clear my radio doesn't
mute after the user unkeys. Instead, I'll hear those beeps after a
transmission even when in trunktrack mode. This is a problem both with my
Pro-96 and BC250D. This morning I was able to hear the Ingham County,
Michigan EDACS UHF system from a ways and the control channel sounded
fine, and it didn't take my 250 long to start tracking it, but the calls
cut in and out and those that were clear had the EDACS beeps. I'm just
wondering if anyone else has found a way around this. I have had to turn
up the squelch a bit.
This is not only a problem when i am pulling in this system, but
with the Livonia, Michigan EDACS system as well that is about 25 miles
from me.
