Thanks JE. I obviously have limited knowledge about rebanding.  Of course,
you are correct.  DUH.  At least I know how to turn the scanner on and off.
If you or any colleague has the 996 unit, how easy or complicated is that
unit to program even with Butel software?  Take care.

You should be able to do it now.

And besides, the rebanding issue is only for the 800MHz band, it doesn't
have anything to do with the 700MHz band.
Right now when you enter a 700MHz, even if it doesn't show the last
numerical digit, it works fine according to people that are currently using
it on 700MHz systems.

As a side note, not every PS agency in the nation needs or will switch to
700MHz either.
