[TrunkCom] Control Frequency Only Mode

So I have for instance LCN 1 , LCN 2, LCN 15, for at total of three LCN's in
my area. They are all EDACS Systems. I am using a BCT8, by the way. Instead
of programming the freqa. Into each channel number, I can instead use
channel 1 - Bank 1 and just put LCN1 into the #01 frequency list and be done
with it? Other than loading up my talkgroups? Or do I still have to load the
freqs into each channel?

I appreciate all the help...

This will work with EDACS and LTR, use the 250 because I know it works with
that radio, I see no reason it would not work with the PRO 96, however if
you use the 96 leave the first channel blank ie 000, 100, 200, 300 start
with ch 1 ie 001, 101, 201 The 96 will tell you the LCN # of the control
channel so you have one the LCNs right off the bat.

Pick one freq from your EDACS or LTR system.

Program that freq into the first 20 channels of bank one, yes the same freq
20 times.

Scan that bank.

When a conversation appears on a channel press hold and not the channel no.
ie 003 or 011 whatever. That will correspond to the LCN # so 003 would be
LCN 3 or 011 would be LCN 11

Now pick the next freq, put that freq in every channel except the first on
you found so if it was 003 leave the original freq in 003. So you will
enter the 2nd freq 19 times.

Scan that bank

When a conversation appears on a channel press hold and not the channel no.
ie 005 or 013 whatever. That will correspond to the LCN # so 005 would be
LCN 5 or 013 would be LCN 13

Continue the process until you have done this with every freq on the system
in the end you will know the LCNs for all of the freqs.

One note if you hear more than one control channel on your EDACS system on
the air at the same time then it is a multisite system and needs to be
programmed in two different banks
