Hi Jerry, with the 9600 BAUD P-25 systems, the control channels don't
typically change all the time, but with the older 3600 BAUD systems they
do change, typically once a dcay at midnight or thereabouts, but the
system controler can set up the trunked system to change control channels
at other times of the day. I don't know why this is with the type II
systems, but there was a type I system in my area that hardly ever changed
the control channel. As for EDACS systems, they don't typically change
channels consistently either. Another question to ponder is when does it
become necessary for VHF/UHF Motorola systems to have multiple base and
table ranges?
