[TrunkCom] Emergency Notification Networks

As a member of this yahoo group, as well as many others, I have been
searching for an Emergency Notification Network. Such a network
would advise members of "breaking Events"ie...Events as they are
occurring in real time. Such notification would include information
such as Type of Incident ( INC=Incident), Time & Place of INC., and
Frequency(s), when available, so a scanner enthusiast can tune into
that frequency to listen as the INC unfolds.
The Notification can be made to an email address, a pager, a cell
phone and even a PDA. The Event may require several Notifications,
such as a fire that starts out as a 2 Alarm, but rapidly becomes a 3
or 4 alarm. Or a MVA, which soon has 2 victims that require
extraction.
The Event can be Local to certain people, but for major INC's, such
as a Severe Tornado, all members would be notified. Actually, each
individual subscriber would chose the INC's to be Notified of, Which
regions of interests to be Notified.....etc.
I know that this type of Notification system could be expensive, but
I for one would be willing to pay a monthly subscription for the
service.
I am a member of IBN, and with such a membership, IBN notifies me by
email of the INC., and then I would login to Teamspeak IBN and
follow the INC. SBN also has such a service. Both are a great
service and free to members (membership is free) and donations are
accepted by some of these services (this author is not making any
specific statements as to which memberships accept donations).
Then there is TAC9 (tac9.com) and IPN (incidentpage.net/)that are on
24/7 with nationwide coverage, but these services come at a cost,
which actually is not that expensive considering the services
offered.

The reason for this post is, I live on Long Island, Suffolk County,
New York and I am searching for an Emergency Notification system
that would work for me in my area that I live, and am willing to pay
for such services. I am asking for feedback on Emergency
Notification Networks that members use....which services for which
areas. And again, I have nothing but praise for SBN and IBN free
services that work with teamspeak. They are great, but seem to be
notifying to a small demographic area.
THANX!!
