In fact, as I understand it, all mil bases in the US will migrate to this system over the next couple of years.
Here in Maryland, as has been reported, NSA has one, as does Fort Meade (yes, a 2nd seperate system). It's been reported that Andrews AFB, the Pentagon and Fort Detrick (Frederick) has such a system, though so far there've been no actual reports of this.
PRO96/2096 owners kinda have a leg up on this. There's a Trunker like utility called PRO96Com that seems to be the tool of choice for digging into the control channel and seeing what's going on. Like its Trunker sibling, it can control, to some degree, the Uniden digitals on a second serial port.

To my knowledge, there's no similar utility for the Unidens - although the recently released UniTracker software looks rather interesting. The RadioReference Wiki page has information on this.
