Hi Jerry, you are correct, status bits from 8-15 are encrypted, but a 3600
system can have up to 4096 talk groups on them, though many systems just
utilize even number talk groups, and in those cases it would be split in
two with 2048 talkgroups. Talkgroups on a 3600 BAUD system, without any
status bits will be evenly divisible by 16.
