[TrunkCom] testing and mixed opinions on LSM modulation

I'll have to think of that, but I am not planning on anything right now.
I think it would be very helpful if I could try a scanner out for a while
and see how user friendly it is and taht would include the software before
going out and spending the money to get one. The Pro-96 is supposed to
have a firmware upgrade for rebanding, but here in Michigan that is a few
years out due to our close proximity to Canada.

I'm sure there are many 396 users in the Detroit area with such files. Then all you would need to do is use the software to upload to the 396 memory and then press scan. The 396 uses the one time use or rechargeable AA batteries (3 of them). Uniden plans to support it for the FCC rebanding in 2006. Everything prior to the BC296D/BC796D can not be supported due to the lack of firmware upgrade via software download.
