[TrunkCom] Uniden Scanners

The 796D has become the new 780xlt (production discontinued) as a mobile
scanner.  Uniden is working over-time to release several stylish, compact
and hopefully good quality handheld scanners.  Is there any information
about a 796D upgrade with the "bugs" worked out and some new features?
Also, I have heard that Uniden will be releasing a new BCi96 card.  Can
anyone confirm this?   If so, will the new card simply have the firmware
