[TrunkCom] fire gear and difficult to understand comms

Hi everyone.  Right now I am listening to a fire that has been going for
about an hour or so here on our Astro TRS.  One thing that I have heard
complaints about in the past, and is holding true to this fire is that when
people are talking when they have their fire gear on it is making coms sound
extremely muffled.  Has anyone found a solution to this problem?  They are
using an Astro trunked system.
