The Smartest statement of this whole discussion.

From: A Engineering Stand point-

These scanners are nowhere near a precision device. With rec. spec's that resemble
a third world country, there is NO WAY to reasonably assess the problem from and
engineering standpoint with out analyzing the signal from end to end to find the
fault. The problem could be a reciver problem?????

I must agree with Wayne who is intimately familar with Motrorola's air interface.
Bottom line bearcat, ratshack, GRE they are all inferior devices compared to
public safety radios and should be treated as such. 

Why not debate the merits of EWAC or Moto's as they relate to the air interface of
each manufacture, rather than debating how a 3rd party unit incorrectly recieves
data. Unless someone is going rewirte the process do you really think Ratshack
will correct the problem?
