First, between the models you list they handle status bits in 3 different
ways. The 235xlt showed all status bits as being a new talkgroup instead
of the same talkgroup. The 245xlt introduced the status bit function
which then correctly saw the status bits as part of the same talkgroup,
and that feature was continued in the 780xlt and PRO-94. The PRO-92 -
which version do you have, A, B, or C?
Second, why suspect the system and not the scanners? Since all Motorolas
work fine on the system with multi-selecting, and the scanners do not,
that should tell you something. The scanners, even though they do a
great job, are still not the "real thing".

Again you are suspecting the system over the scanners, when you should be
doing it the other way around. But the fact remains that multi-selecting
and cross-patching are not different on the control channel other than
the status bit number (+3 or +7). Do some searching on the system during
the multi-select (or watch Trunker or Treport) and you will find the
talkgroup it's being multi-selected with. You can disagree all you want
and continue to miss conversations, or you can listen to those who know
these systems (especially Wayne) and find the talkgroups they're being
patched to in the scanner. All we're trying to do is help you.
