Hi All,
Back by popular demand, we have put the BC-250D back up on the internet in
a Trunked ID Scan on the City Of Chesapeake Motorola 800 Mhz Type II
system. Radio is using rubber ducky antenna sitting on a shelf. It is
located about 5 miles from the
Chesapeake City line in Virginia Beach Virginia.
Scanner is listening to the system in ID search mode so you will hear
everything on the system. This is a mixed mode system. 99% of the Police
is P25 Digital, the Fire and EMS are mostly analog. This should provide a
good comparison between how the audio sounds between digital mode and
analog mode.
I plan on leaving the radio online for an undetermined time. Since I only
have the one BC-250D I would also like to use it for personal use. If
Uniden (or any of company) would like to sponsor the site and provide a
radio I will make it a permanent addition to the site. Our site currently
has 6 active live streams and more on the way.
The audio is improved over the last time with credit going to Jim Macmillan
for his post about using FM mode vice NFM.
Go to;
http://www.hrconnect.com/
Select "Live Audio" link of the left side then scroll down to the
"Chesapeake Police Dispatch".
A good resource for the Chesapeake Police Radio 10-20 etc is;
http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Guild/3528/
This is an MP3 stream and works well with Winamp and Windows Media player.
As always comments/questions are welcome ..
Enjoy .. Jim
