Hi everyone. I have made some interesting observations here in Grosse
Pointe here with the new digital scanner. It seems as though people are
acting a little different and my guess is that they all know or have known
that up until a few weeks ago their system has not been monitorable, and
that detectives are making a lot of use of their talk groups, and on the
old system you never heard them talk at all.
Also, on my local TRS in Grosse Pointe, Michigan that is an Astro
3600 BAUD system the control channel is working its way from the lowest to
highest freq and I have never heard this system give a CW ID, not even in
conventional mode. What icould be different about this system if the
control channel is on the lowest freq? Other systems I have seen it is
from highest to lowest, and is there a way of telling what channels are
primary and what are alternate?
Also, I will be leaving on monday and will probably be unsubing
from most of my lists Sunday and once I figure out what kind of access I
will have to the net from Arkansas I may resub, but I will have to get
situated there first. At any rate, I am looking for information on the
state of Arkansas's system, and am wondering if it is type IIi or all type
II, because trunkedradio.net still has made mention of sub fleets, but no
fleet map. Also, I still need help with the keystrokes that I need to use
with the BC250D with programming a type I fleet map, both standard and
user defined, and would like to figure that out before leaving, so if
anyone can help just E-mail me off list and we can go from there. Any
how, any information would help, and thanks in advance.
