Does anyone know what happened to Metro West? They used to sell a series of chargers
called "Pro Power" for the Uniden and Radio Shack scanners that regulated the charge
quite nicely. I have a Pro Power 3 that was made for the 235 XLT that has a switch to
set for NiCad or NiMH. It charges at a suitable rate for the battery packs, and
switches to a trickle mode after a set time. The email address that I have for Mike
Huth who owned Metro West no longer works.
