[TrunkCom] BC296/BC796 availability; best price; improvements?

I have read elsewhere but forgot where, that the
Pro-96 has a slight spacing problem in the Federal
Goverment V.H.F. band.
Also I do NOT think that is covers Wide F.M.?
Is this correct?
