For a Motorola system it really doesn't matter what order the freqs are in,
although you might get faster acquisition of the control channel if you put
the (possible) control channel(s) in the lowest position(s) of the bank. It
also doesn't matter if you put them in the first few channels of the bank or
someplace else, or (I think) if you put them in a cluster or scattered
through the bank. You DO have to mark the frequencies as Motorola trunked
channels, though.
I also have a Pro-92, although I bought it AFTER the BC-245 and BC-780. I
use it mostly for UHF LTR systems and to get a quick reading on PL/DPL tones
for local conventional channels, but it does a pretty good job on Moto and
EDACS trunking as well.
