[TrunkCom] trunking question

The city i live in is about 40,000 population and utilizes a  Motorola =
type  2 800 Mhz system . I use the BC245XLT trunking scanner which works =
great except for one minor thing.Whenever the local ambulances =
communicate with our hospital i cannot pick up an ID number on my =
scanner , yet if i take it off trunk mode and scan the trunking =
frequencies in the normal scan mode i can hear the conversations just =
fine. i have checked all of my locked out ID's but this isn't the =
problem. I have talked to a few other people but nobody can figure it =
out. can you help thanks .
