The Illinois State Police StarCom 21 Project, is going to use standard
APCO-25 digital modulation.
Motorola was selected as the contractor for this system and they are
currently drawing up plans to implement Phase-1 of the project, in
conjunction with the I.S.P.  The system is closely based upon Motorola's
success with the Michigan State Police project and will be patterned
after it.

I know they are doing some testing before deployment of Phase-1 begins.
The radio lab is conducting the tests.  Anyone in Springfield, Ill.,
that can search around for any new data channels in the 800 MHz band?
