[TrunkCom] another possibility

Hybrid Type IIi systems can be monitored with trunktrackers. There is no
problem monitoring Type I or Type IIi systems that partition the entire
block as a Type I size code. The problem comes up only when one block has a
mixture of Type I radios operating in Type I subfleets, and Type II radios
operating in Type II talkgroups, again both in the same block. In the case
of Type IIi where you have a Type II radio operating on a Type I subfleet,
there is no problem monitoring that with a trunktracker.

In fact, I did not say these mixed block systems could not be monitored by
Trunktrackers, Regardless of the settings, you'll hear the conversations.
The ids will jump around a bit, and it just might be a bit difficult to
follow individual conversations, but certainly not impossible.

I thought that Hybird T.R.S. systems ( Type IIi ) should of been scannable
by Trunk trackers.

Yes, it is possible, within a block, to designate Type I fleet(s), and even
individual subfleet(s) within a Type I fleet, as Type II. It is not very
common, but has been done.

Since it is not very common, the Trunk trackers only allow one setting
(Type
I or Type II) per block, making monitoring of those rare systems employing
a mixed Type I/II block "interesting" to say the least.

Also, as Wayne mentioned, running a program like Trunker or TRUNK88 will
tell you a lot about the system, much more than what the Trunktracker will
display. It will really help to sort out these types of issues.
