The person that ran the Orange County CA TRS about 10 years ago told me
that when the FDs would use one of the talkaround channels, that the
freq would be deactivated from the TRS. In other words - lets say that
859.4375 was the FD talkaround simplex channel. During day to day ops,
859.4375 would be a regular channel on the TRS. When the FD started to
use the FG channel at an incident, 859.4375 would be locked out of the
TRS rotation.

Thats what I was told about 10 years ago. Peter S
