[TrunkCom] does anyone know how the new scanners will handle both data and voice from the same channel?

It can.

But what Wayne was talking about is the fact that the XTS-3000 can't do
both "regular" Motorola trunking and P25 at the same time - it can be
flashed for either type, but not flashed for both at the same time.
