Just some added info:
This is TRUE, however there is a work around that seems to work for most
folks with the Pro-93. It has been discussed in the threads at the Yahoo
P93 board.
The "alpha text bug" as it is known, duplicates the text tags on ch.000/816,
001/817, 002/818 etc "pairs" up to ch 929. The bug only affects text tags
on FREQUENCIES on those affected channels, but not trunked talkgroup ID's.
So the work around has been to make banks 8 and 9 trunking banks, and all
the ID's do not duplicate in the first two banks. Yes, as small flaw in
firmware v 1.0 but then again for all the good things the Pro-93 does for
the sale price of $170 the majority of Pro-93 owners can live with it.

In addition, www.pro93.com has the same upload/download freeware (2.7MB
zipped) that includes the necessary .dll and .ocx files all in one package.
