Bob,
I've created a special dynamic report in the Trunked Radio Information
Database that allows you to view all the systems in the database that
have digital capabilities or are totally digital. you can access this
report at the following link:
http://www.trunkedradio.net/db
The report is at the bottom under the heading "Special Reports" - click
the drop-down box and select "Digital Systems".
If anyone sees any inconsistancies or has updated information, please
don't hesitate to submit it.
warm regards,
Lindsay

Subject: [TrunkCom] What will new digital scanner receive?
I haven't been following the various digital systems as I really
don't have
any here in the NYC area. I hear Suffolk County PD with some
digital
talkgroups but I don't know if they are just in a digital mode
or encrypted.
Now I know that the new scanner won't pick up encrypted comms or
iDen
technology but exactly what will it pick up? (Digital comms) I
know down
by my in-laws in Florida the Florida Highway Patrol went digital
as well as
Boca Raton PD...will these depts be able to be received on these
new
scanners? Is there a list somewhere on the Internet that lists
all the
departments that have gone digital? Like I said before right
now there
isn't much in the way of digital in the NYC area but I'd like to
be ready
for when it does come around here! Thanks for any info.
Bob
