Oh enough already, if any of us wanted "professional" we'd go buy it, that
isn't the issue and you know it. Just what is it you're trying to sell? Just
what is this "big picture" you speak of? Scanners are not going away anytime
soon, overpriced toys they might be, but fun just the same. If the powers
that be wanted us to have digital capable scanners before, we would have had
them long ago. All of this is a big money grab and Motorola doesn't need to
be in the joe six-pack scanner market.
 Apples and Oranges.

Don't CRY it will be all right. Wait until late Q4 of 2004 to cry about the
new Multi-digital mode scanner. I'm sure you will have something to cry
about
then. You can compare a Toy to a professional device all day but you don't
understand the big picture. It's quality v questionable performance. Why
settle for less when the economics are equal after several years of
investing
in multiple scanners and interface boards. I'm sure many people have spent
1G
or more or more and still don't have what they want. EWAC will be gone in a
few years and LTR will have limited use.
Take a look at the Booz Allen Hamilton report www.bah.com.
