What is the difference between regular and wide EDACS?
How do you know when a system that you listen to is regular or wide?
Can a Pro-92B pick up both?

Who cares about transmit? This all started when someone asked about the
high price of the digital SCANNER. That is the issue, people who want to
LISTEN. For crying out loud, if you need to transmit, then by all means
you need an Astro. But for listening and scanning only, the new digital
scanner is the BEST way to go, feature-wise and price-wise.

Let's see, which is more flexible. The Astro can transmit, ok it has
that over the scanner. The Astro has better audio, ok it has that over
the scanner. The Astro can do UHF, VHF and 900-MHz conventional and
trunking together, oops, you need a separate radio for each band. The
Astro can do EDACS wideband, oops, no it can't. The Astro can do EDACS
narrowband, oops no it can't. The Astro can do LTR, oops, no it can't.
The Astro can scan all of its 1000 channels, oops, it can only scan 20 of
its maximum 250. The Astro is face programmable, oops, it's not. The
Astro can do AM and WFM, oops, it can't. The Astro costs the same or
less than a digital scanner, oops, it's doesn't. Wow, look at that, the
Astro is more flexible, oops, it's not.
