ok, well doing a search with google for plastic scratch remover came up with
this stuff called Novus. They use it on hottubs, but say it can be used on
all plastic and acrylic surfaces. I guess it could be used on scanners...
Any thoughts?

I like to think I'm not too much of a sucker on things like this. Albeit
approached with skepticism, I proceeded to rub toothpaste on my AR8000's
face with a soft cloth...and rubbed, and rubbed...until I finally ended up
with a somewhat better smelling scratched scanner.

Perhaps someone would like to explain to me how I didn't use the right
"method" or brand perhaps. Perhaps you can get me to be a sucker again...
