Believe it or not, they are required to pass certification test on each
area of equipment. TV, stereo, auto electronics, satellite, etc. in
order to keep their job. If they don't pass enough tests soon enough,
they can be dismissed. However, they don't get too intense in the
training.  What is worst is when the salesperson doesn't have the guts
to admit they don't know the answer to the question.
