One thing that I have noticed from fooling around with our trunked system
that is a 6 channel system that is a also a Motorola type II digital system
is that when you transmit you will follow like a pattern. Say if you
transmit and your transmission takes place on one frequency it will move
up to the next frequency that is higher unless of course you are at the
highest freq. We haven't gotten to the point where to steer certain users
to certain freqs, but that is something that could happen as things
change. Is there a way of telling when the equipment is too hot? Out
equipment room for the TRS in Grosse Pointe is locked most of the time,
but there has been a noticeable smell in that room ever since the system
went on line in June.
