Analog can either be U N E N C R P Y T E D or E N C R P Y T E D.
Digital   can either be U N E N C R P Y T E D or E N C R P Y T E D.
If a system is encrypted, no scanner, analog or digital will monitor it.
In order to monitor digital a scanner will have to be able to lock onto a =
3600 baud and/or 9600 baud control channel be it either Moto or=20
E.D.A.C.S.. now the question is, will the new digital capable scanners be =
able to monitor the V.O.C. and/or S.C.A.T. trunking transmissions.

That would be nice since we have s system like that, here, that uses =
S.C.A.T..

 It will matter if they will have their transmissions Encrypted or not. =
After=20
looking at the LAPD's Motorola ASTRO Digital system out of Orange =
County,=20
California, which is a APCO 25 system. The whole system is Encrypted. =
Yes,=20
the new Uniden digital scanners will monitor it, but if they are running=20=

Encrypted radios it won't.  =20
