Hi Folks!

We will begin our almost weekly Amateur Radio classes starting this Sunday at 7:00 pm on the second floor of the Parish Life Center.

We will go over electronics and radio theory, FCC regulations and operating opportunities and practices.

Relevant merit badge requirements can be found in over 21 badges. Additionally, career and community opportunities will be covered during the coursem

There is no fee for these classes and Scouts, family members and friends are welcome to attend.  The textbook and other online resources will be provided.
There is no Morse Code requirement for your license, just a simple 35 question multiple choice test.  All possible questions will be reviewed on these Sunday nights and also on our one day question review class all day on Friday December 26th.  A test session has been arranged for that evening in the Church basement.  January classes will cover "how-to" operate and how to upgrade to the next higher classes of license.  For those who need extra help in order to pass the test, we will tutor them.

Please arrive early so that we can get full value for our time which will end promptly at 9:00 pm.

If you have questions,  please give me a call.

As always for Scout functions,  please wear your class A uniform.

Yours in Scouting & 73,
Gordon Beattie, WATT
