Our whole day into evening on Saturday will be spent at the United States
Naval Academy.
Sunday morning we will get up and pack before heading off to Ft. McHenry in
Baltimore. After that, most of the group will head home to Bergenfield for
an arrival between 4:00 and 6:00 PM. All gear needs to be unloaded and
packed in the Troop room on Sunday evening.
I will be heading to Arlington, Virginia to have supper with my son, James.
Dino and Reinier will be with me. We will return home late on Sunday night.
For school letters, please write a note for your son's absence indicating
that they are attending a leadership event at the United States Naval
Academy and request an excused absence. If this is not going to be
acceptable to the school, please give me a call in advance and we can see
what can be done.
One last point: if a Scout or adult has an Amateur Radio license and has a
radio, please bring the radio in a charged state and bring the charger and a
copy or original of your license along as well. We will be using 146.550
MHz simplex to communicate while traveling and when looking for each other
at various times during the trip.
Many thanks again for everyone getting this trip together.
We will have a great time!
Yours in Scouting!
Thanks & 73,
Gordon Beattie, W2TTT
