Clothing and personal supplies needed for four homeless families in Haledon.

My friend Mike Hoeft, K2MPH lives next door to the one house that had four
families living in it.  While his house suffered some damage, these families
lost everything and Mike is reaching out to those who might have spare
clothing and personal supplies.  We can collect them through the weekend and
again on Tuesday.  I can transport whatever we collect.

 

Obviously, winter clothes including shoes, boots, gloves, hats and coats are
needed, but clothing for any season is needed and welcome.  

 

Some items may be better acquired by the families, so perhaps you have a
small gift card to Wal-Mart, Target or other similar stores that can be
donated?  We all have them, especially around this time of year and it would
give huge boost to those in need.  

 

I've included a press report and Nancy can point you to the Facebook
references for more information.  Mike is also looking into setting up a
fund for these families.  In the meantime, if you want to make a donation,
write a check or provide cash to "Boy Scout Troop 139" and we'll get the
families gift cards or whatever specific items the families might need.
