Hi Folks!

If anyone would like to participate in an indoor drill and get some coaching
on how emergency communications activities are done, you are welcome to
participate on Monday night in this Red Cross drill. I will be leaving
Bergenfield about 5:30 PM and heading out to the Red Cross office in
Fairfield, just west of the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne on Rt 80.

If you don't have a radio, I can lend you one. Please let me know if you
are interested.

Yours in Scouting!

Thanks & 73,

Gordon Beattie, W2TTT

April-1, 2013

Please be aware the Emergency Communication Tabletop Exercise/Drill -1 will
be held on April 1, 2013 at 7:00pm in the DOC on the third floor at the
Fairfield Chapter. We need all of you to attend the drill to make it a real
success. Please bring your hand-held radios(HTs). Yesterday's "Know Your
HTs" session was great. It, I am sure, has helped all of us who were
present. Please rehearse the steps on your own again before the drill just
to be sure. Time permitting, Gordon has plans to inject surprises during the
drill to test and improve all of our radio expertise.

Thanks a lot to Bill for finalizing the forms, creating test data and also
prepare the quick message flow chart we will follow during the drill.

Please find attached the flow chart and sample forms from Bill (DA Street
Sheet, Area Assessment worksheet, Staff Request, Daily Shelter Report,
Morbidity Report, Daily Activity Report, Route Record) and an additional
form(ICS-213) for General Messaging. Please familiarize with the forms and
the test data. We will need to fill the forms during the drill before
transmitting the data/message to its destination.
