[Troop139] Amateur Radio License Class & Study Materials for the Technician Class License Exam

Hi Folks!

Amateur Radio has opened many doors for me for the last forty (yes, I said
40!) years in the areas of science, technology, language, culture,
geography, politics, faith and business.  I have had the privilege to meet
in person and on the air many amazing people in all walks of life.  This
course is designed to help anyone start down their own path in the diverse
aspects of Amateur Radio and you are invited to participate at no charge.  

 

I will be running a one-day Amateur Radio Exam Review class for our Troop
and family members on Friday, December 27th from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.  We
will have a test team come in and conduct exams at 7:00 PM that evening.  

 

I will extending this opportunity to the community at-large for a fee of $20
for the day.  All will need to have $15 cash for the test team along with
the Social Security Number and two forms of ID.  (1 if a Scout in our
Troop).  

 

If you are interested in this class, please let me know, so that I can coach
you between now and then and also prepare for the day.  Study resources are
listed below.

 

 

 

 

Here are some basic ideas to prepare for the exam.  

 

1.	Go to QRZ.com and on the top you will see a Resource tab.from there
you will see Practice Exams on top of the list.

2.	There are books referenced on that Resource tab, but I have included
some documents.  

You can also bring me a USB thumb drive and I will give you some PowerPoint
additional slides.
