[Troop139] Protecting God's Children & Scouter Development Reminder

Hi Folks!

If you will be unable to take Protecting God's Children on 4/30 at St.
John's, you can take it this Sunday MORNING at the Archdiocesan Youth
Retreat Center on Belgrove Ave. in Kearny.  

They are also offering the Scouter Development program in the afternoon for
those who might want to step up and be Catholic Religious Emblems Counselors
at the Pack or Troop levels.  We could use someone "not named Beattie" for
that role as well.

Lunch will be served and Mass will be said at the end of the afternoon.
Please consider participating in these events as they help to provide so
much value to the boys.

Greetings all ,

 

This is a reminder for those that have registered for Scouter Development
this coming Sunday, April 14th that is being held here at the Archdiocesan
Youth Retreat Center, 499 Belgrove Drive, Kearny.

 

We are looking at about 20 Scout leaders joining us for this day.  

 

Upon arriving  to the center please park in the back parking lot and proceed
to the back door entrance (large blue awning).  Upon entering please follow
signs to get you to the Blessed Mother Room.

 

The schedule for the day is :

9:30am Registration Begins for MORNING PGC CLASS AND Scouter Development 

10am   Protecting God's Children Workshop

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is an Archdiocesan MANDATED program for all that
work and volunteer with youth in the Archdiocese of Newark.  Even if you
have taken "BSA Youth Protection you MUST have completed a "PGC" workshop to
be working with youth.      IF you have already taken this workshop in your
parish or school you DO NOT NEED TO  ATTEND THIS.  You would arrive for the
12:30pm working lunch session.

12:30pm           Registration for those attending afternoon session ONLY

12:45pm           Working Lunch Session/ Explanation of Catholic Awards

1:15pm                        Scouter Development Sessions Begin

4:00pm                        Closing Mass

4:30pm                        Day ends

 

If you are planning on joining us for the Protecting God's Children Workshop
from 10am to 12:30pm you MUST REGISTER ONLINE FOR THIS CLASS TO RECEIVE
