To All Troop 139 Parents,
SORRY THIS IS LONG… BUT PLEASE READ THROUGH.
Our Tricky Tray is October 13, 2012 is coming up FAST!
Please be sure to come to tomorrow’s meeting (9/24). We will be talking about a number of things including the upcoming fundraiser (our biggest of the year), the 6th Annual Tricky Tray. We need 100% troop family participation to make this run smoothly. J
For those of you who do not know what a tricky tray is… it is a raffle. We raffle off hundreds of baskets. People buy tickets and put their tickets in the prizes they want to win.
If you have not sent in your Tricky Tray family basket yet, please bring it with you tomorrow, Tuesday, or if you are unsure of what to make, we are happy to take a monetary donation of $25 per family (should be the value of the basket), and we will purchase a basket to raffle on your behalf.
· Please be sure to take 10 flyers and hang them or distribute them to friends and family. If each family invites 5 people to come and sells those 5 people tickets, we will be in a good place.
· We need 2-3 moms or dads to walk up and down Washington Avenue this week and ask for donations. Letters of request can be provided to you to do this.
· We will need adults and scouts to arrive on Friday evening for table set up and basket transportation.
· We will also need people to be available on Saturday, most likely starting around noon to button up any last minute items.
· On the evening of the event. We will need…
o Parents and senior scouts (Calling our eagles), to work in the kitchen, selling tickets (entrance, raffle, etc)
o All scouts to be available to run the prizes to the prize winners.
o 1-2 Adults to assist with calling prize numbers
o 1-2 Adults to assist with the basket runners and organizing the scouts and baskets being handled
Remember, you will receive a free admission ticket when you donate a baskets valued at $25 or more or work the night of the tricky tray. Boy Scouts that are working (running prizes, etc), will not be charged.
Thanks all,
Diana
