Hi Folks!

We have several events that are scheduled for the Troop and we need
commitment for the Scouts attending.

We also need commitment for chaperones and transportation in order for the
program to be conducted in accordance with BSA and Archdiocesan safety
policies.

As we have a "Boy-led Troop", Patrols in Troop 139 will be formed by the
Scouts themselves. As is our practice, Scouts will be assigned to "pools"
based on their anticipated participation and Scouts from each pool will then
form Patrols. This makes it more sensible for those Scouts who have
leadership roles to coordinate plans for the Patrol activities consistent
with their plans to participate.

In order to support this effort, we need to obtain firm commitment for the
Scouts participation, supported by the parents by this Tuesday for the
events of the Spring.

Please review the schedule, clear and mark your calendars as much as
possible and bring that information to the meeting THIS TUESDAY at 7:00 PM.

All Scouts will be provided with a campership form for Summer Camp at Camp
Turrell this Tuesday.

Summer Camp dates are Sunday, July 30th to Saturday, August 6th. It is very
important for all our Scouts to attend camp and Troop 139 will do everything
possible to make this experience possible for each and every Scout in the
Troop, so do not let the economics be the impediment for your son's
participation. All forms that are going to be processed must be turned in
to the Troop by Tuesday, March 15th.

Yours in Scouting!
Thanks & 73,

Gordon Beattie, W2TTT
