Hello everyone:

We need to help listening for the payload.

Last known position on the tracking page has it NE of Bristol, near the
TN/VA/NC lines.

http://spiritofknoxville.com/live.html - Dashboard showing status of flight.

We are asking for hams in that area to listen for the payload on or
about 10146.00 Mhz, LSB, for a RTTY transmission and CW transmission
giving telemetry such as position, altitude, speed, etc.

The following is the transmission schedule:

RTTY: Times specified reference *local time* for balloon's location.
0500-2300 00,05,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 minutes after the hour.
2300-0500 00,30 minutes after the hour
CW Full ID: All Day 02,32 minutes after the hour
CW Beacon: for every minute without any other transmission, sends 1 character on the minute
CW Beacon number is a telemetry code value, decode it here:
	           	Ballast: 1 = releasing ballast
	           	Climb: 1 = climbing
Descent Speed Braking: 1 = speed recovery

If you do not have an RTTY decoder, we have software that will not only decode the RTTY signal, but send it via
internet to the Spirit of Knoxville team and will update the tracking page (with a complete telemetry reception).
The programs is called the Distributed Tracking Relay Client, or DTRC.

http://dtrc.utarc.org/status.php - Status and DTRC download.

http://dtrc.utarc.org/chat.html - IRC chatroom

If you copy CW telemetry, please send the report via our report page at www.utarc.org (form is on the main page).

If you know of hams in the area, please let them know and forward this on to them as well.

Thanks and 73
