[TNham] UX-3 Flight Announcement

The University of Tennessee Amateur Radio Club (UTARC) is pleased to
announce the flight of UX-3.  This mission will be flown with the call of
K4T-11.
 
This high altitude balloon flight will take place on Saturday, October 22,
2005, at 8:00 AM EDST (1200 UTC).  The launch site will be the campus of the
University of Tennessee in downtown Knoxville.  Exact launch location will
be the University Center Plaza at the corner of Andy Holt and Philip Fulmer.

Two (2) 3000-gram weather balloons filled with helium will fly in tandem.
Expected burst altitude will be 100,000 feet or more.  Flight time is
expected to be about 2.5 hours.

The following devices will fly on this mission as part of the payload:
    Primary APRS / voice telemetry
    Backup APRS transmitter
    433 MHz beacon
    10-meter transmitter (voice telemetry)
