QST QST QST :

The annual Jane's School Day will be Friday Sept. 27, 2002.
The timing of the event coincides with the week that students of Jane Clark
(KE4OYY) are studying the letter "H".
Members of MTARS and other hams in the area will set up stations in various
schools in Franklin, Coffee and Moore counties to introduce Amateur Radio to
k thru 6th grades -- (3rd thru 6th grades at most schools).
Stations will be on HF, VHF, UHF and APRS. The reception from the teachers,
students and parents has been extremly good for the past two years on this
event.
Anyone that would like to come down to the Tullahoma / Winchester area and
be a part of this is welcome. Those that are not able to be present may join
in the fun on the 10/70 and 22/82 MTARS Repeaters and maybe others. HF
activity will be wherever we can find someone to talk to the students ---
which usually only takes one or two calls.

Is there an IRLP guru that can come down and showcase at one of the schools?

Do you have a school that you would like to include for this activity ? We
can always link up on some frequency and let the students talk to each
other?

We start about 8 am and finish when the last class is done. Some at noon and
others at 2:30 pm.

Interested parties please let me know ASAP so we can plan the activities.

FUN, Fun and more FUN will be the task of the day.

Hope to see you there.
