Bob, I was concerned that the TML might oppose this legislation.

We have been announcing the information about the bills on the Tennessee Phone
Nets since last night, imploring everyone to contact their state senators and
representatives. Also, Greg, N4WSM, our Public Information Coordinator has sent
emails to all ARRL affiliated clubs in Tennessee to request their support and
notification of their members. I have asked all cabinet members to spread the
word in their areas of the state. The web page (www.tnarrl.org) has all the
details under the State Government Liasion section. Now that we know the TML
plans to oppose this law, there is the possibility of other additional action.
One might be to try to meet with TML representatives to discuss the purpose of
this law and amateur radio in general. Another is to try to get TEMA and
individual EMA offices to lend their support. Do you have any other ideas of
things we might do? Let me know. 73, Terry, KB4KA
