>From Scott Medlin:

I found this info on the ARRL Tennessee Section Manager's web page about the
House and Senate bills that have been introduced to create a Tennessee
PRB-1.
This would codify into State law, the provisions of the Federal preemption
on
unreasonable amateur radio antenna restrictions by municipalities. Perhaps
it
is time to mobilize all Tennessee hams to contact their State Legislators to
fully support HB 2973 and SB 3058? More info is available at the URLs
listed
below. Tennessee amateurs and radio clubs should remind their Legislators
of
the very important role that amateurs fulfill in emergency communications on
a
local, State, and National level. Please consider posting this to the TN
Ham
reflector and strongly urge all Tennessee amateurs and radio clubs to
contact
their Legislators by E-mail, snail mail, or in person and ask them to
support
these bills.
