Tennessee Section Manager To Visit Middle Tennessee

April 1, 2002 - Nashville, TN - Tennessee ARRL Section Manager Terry =
Cox, KB4KA,  will be making a special presentation to middle Tennessee =
hams on Monday night April 15, 2002.  The program will take place at =
7:30PM at the monthly club meeting of the Radio Amateur Transmitting =
Society of Nashville ( www.nashvillerats.org ). =20

Area amateur radio operators will be spoken to about activities =
happening in the Tennessee area including a progress report on Terry's =
"Ten Point Plan" introduced during his campaign.  The plan includes a =
focus on emergency activities, traffic nets, and a highlight on the =
PRB-1 antenna legislation.  "This is a great privledge for us to host =
this meeting," states club Activities Chairman Chris Erlanson.  "I know =
that many hams have been wanting to meet Terry since the election and =
all of us are interested in seeing the work he has been doing with the =
ARRL on our behalf." =20

Due to limited budget, Mr. Cox has stated that this might be his only =
club appearance for Middle Tennessee this year.  All licensed operators =
are requested to attend, local club directors are encouraged to call =
their membership to attendance, and the general public is also invited.  =
Admission is free.

The Radio Amateur Transmitting Society of Nashville meets every 3rd =
Monday night of the month at 7:30PM in the Red Cross building at 2201 =
Charlotte Avenue in Nashville.  The meeting takes place on the second =
floor.  Attendees are encouraged to park at the back, enter in the =
parking garage, and then take the elevator or stairs up to the second =
floor conference room.
